I love the way the low winter sun cast shadows on wind-driven snow, taken today using the 7-14mm lens 1/320 F11 ISO160. The Wainstones are part of the Cleveland Hills in the North York Moors National Park - my home patch.

Lovely shot Gordon. I must get down to the Wainstones again. Been a while since I climbed them.

I like how you have the walkers in the photo, not only does it balance the picture but it also gives it a kind of scale to the overall scene. Good to see a landscape photo done in a portrait format. Certainly one to try to beat & setting the bar high for the rest of us.

Cracking shot, Gordon. Clarity, colour and detail are great. You takes us to the far peak and then the clouds seem to loop you back.

Congratulations, Gordon. I love the way the snow has drifted up against the drystone wall – like two works of art, one man-made and the other made by nature.

Very nice image, great composition & excellent exposure. One to beat.
