G1 camera with manual focus 300mm f2.8 lens and 2x converter. This was 1/640sec at f8 ISO100 - but I took many acceptably sharp shots of these birds even down to 1/25sec - they stand quite motionless.

They’ve great camouflage these birds. You did well to get it to stand out from the background – well done!
