Brown Hare – who is watching who?
GH2 with Canon 300mm F2.8 and 2X t-c fitted 1/500 sec ISO400. Please view at full-size .. it's not the sharpest picture I have of him - but I did get the focus correct for his eyes and whiskers.

Sharpness really isn’t everything – that’s a beautiful image Gordon. Congratulations

Cracking image Gordon, I like this a lot. You are right about viewing in a large image, I don’t think enough people view images in this way and don’t fully appreciate some of the photos in the gallery.

Amazing – I’ve never seen a hare (the field across from my house is stuffed full of rabbits!). I expect hares are very elusive creatures and, perhaps, you have to have some prior knowledge of where, roughly, you are likely to find them to photograph. Sometimes you just get lucky!

I don’t think in Gordon’s case it’s down to luck, mostly hard graft and subject knowledge. Lovely shot by the way.
