Compliments on your eye for a composition. I have just recently been experimenting with photomatix. I would be interested to know if you are shooting with a G1 and using auto bracketing or manually adjusting your exposures in greater increments (stops). I’m finding it a nuisance doing it manually with one stop increments or 2 stop inrements rather than the 1/3 or 2/3 stops offered with the auto option because of the obvious possibility of disturbing the camera position in the process. But I’m hooked as you can probably tell and your images are inspiring. Hope you will share more.

Hello Robert, thanks for comments. Yes it was taken with a G1 and was my first attempt at hdr after finding some amazing shots on various web sites. I used the auto bracketing on max for 7 exposures giving me +- 2 evs. Unfotunately with the G1 that usually means using a tripod,
(An impression of Exeter cathedral was handheld but had a fair bit of photoshop work done to sharpen some blurred areas). I later got a cheap remote shutter release that helped a lot and was used on the Lake District shot they use on the gallery front page. I like photomatix and use it a lot, however I have been using “pseudo hdr” tactics recently to make nice sharp pictures, sometimes difficult with photomatix. I’ve put a flickr link below to another type of hdr that I’m currently interested in but which was not taken with a lumix. Beware though, once your hooked there’s no going back, you’ll keep taking them. regards Andy
