Great fun and well executed Andrew. Is the tower view through the scope ‘as photographed’ or a little image editor help ?

Hello Roy, sorry for delay, I’ve only just seen your comment. I took several groups of 7 bracketed exposures handheld with the box in focus and then with the Dome in focus and used a combination of them. CS3 work for idle hands on a cold wet day. Andy.

for the reply, lots of work but always worthwhile when you get a great image like this one.

Andy, this is one of the images used on the Panasonic stand at the ‘Focus on Imaging’ show at the NEC. They have mounted it huge, a good reason for posted a full size file.

Thanks Roy, just seen your comment, I’m amazed, I wish that I had seen it ! did you take a photo ? It would have been a nice gesture if they had told me that they were going to use it (or even given me the huge photo afterwards), especially as they are also using one of my pictures on their G1/GH1/GF1 advert page online. Regards, Andy.

Thanks for latest comments. Can’t repeat this shot now as the Council have scrapped the old telescope and replaced it with a shiny new one that speaks.
