hi andy , do you alter the colour or white balance first to create the purple in the sky then open in photomatix, or is everything done within the one program ?, im new to this and any help would be appreciated
Hello shortyuk, I don’t really remember too much about the processing on this one but I don’t normally alter the white balance or colour as such.
All 7 files would have gone through the photomatix process, and from my comments it looks like I also used a topaz filter as a last stage.
If you’re not familiar with topaz it’s well worth giving it a trial. I very often only use topaz instead of a full blown hdr treatment as it results in a sharper image.
I use it as a plugin on my photoshop cs3, not sure if it works with other programmes or alone, you would have to check the website.
Regards, andy.
