Hello Catherine, yes as charlie said hdr stands for high dynamic range. With the Lumix G1 it normally means taking up to 7 exposures at different settings using the auto exposure bracketing feature. Then combining them in some way, if you get hooked, I think photomatix is best. This particular picture is a “pseudo hdr”, in other words only one exposure was taken and I then made two others at different exposure levels in photoshop and combined them. You can use almost any software to play around like this, you don have to use photoshop. Have a go and post the results. Regards, Andy
