Following the hugely successful Lumix Lifestyle Photographer of the Year competition in previous years, we are once again asking you to send us your very best photograph taken in the past 12 months. And this year, along with the existing prize of £500 to spend on Lumix G kit of your choice and an A3 canvas or framed print of your winning photo, you could also win an unforgettable VIP experience for two at the London 2012 Olympic Games – including tickets to two events, plus overnight accommodation!
As an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner, Panasonic is delighted to be giving away VIP tickets to the London Olympic Games for the winning Lumix Lifestyle Photographer of the Year 2012 plus guest. So, be sure to submit the very best photo you have taken between April 2011 and April 2012 – the image that you are most proud of – and you and a guest could be at the London 2012 Olympic Games this summer! And don’t forget your camera – we’re sure the Lumix Lifestyle community would love you to share your experiences of what promises to be an amazing day!

Entries need to reach us before the end of the month, so get cracking looking through your gallery and pick your best shot!
Our resident experts, professional photographers Phil Surbey and Will Cooper-Mitchell, will be choosing the winning entry and naming this year’s Lumix Lifestyle Photographer of the Year, based on the quality of the photographs entered, use of equipment and also the meanings behind your entries. So that means we are once again asking entrants for a written submission with each image. The more information you provide as background to your photograph, the more insight there will be for judging – so, choose your photo and your words carefully! Also, because Phil and Will will be considering your Lumix Lifestyle community user gallery as part of their judging process, too, you need to make sure it’s looking its best! Include all your best shots for them to look through before the competition closing date of 31st May 2012!
The winning entry and the selected winner’s user gallery shots will be showcased on the Lumix Lifestyle site, and on the Panasonic UK site as well. The winner’s £500 and the runners-up’s £100 vouchers can be spent on Lumix G kit of their choice – accessories and lenses – at their local Panasonic Store or online at the Panasonic eShop, and they can each choose either an A3 canvas or a framed print of their winning photo. The London 2012 Olympic tickets for two will be for two events on the same day, with accommodation provided in London that night.

Competition Terms and Conditions
- The Competition (“The Lumix Lifestyle Photographer of the Year”) is open to residents of the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI) aged 18 years or over, excluding employees, and their immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouse, regardless of where they live), of Panasonic U.K., a branch of Panasonic Marketing Europe GmbH (“Promoter”), its affiliated companies, their agents and anyone professionally connected with this promotion.
- To enter, submit one picture you have taken in the last 12 months (April 2011 – April 2012) that you are most proud of/consider your best shot.
- Any entries that were taken outside of the last 12 months will not be considered valid entries and therefore will be removed from judging.
- Only one picture per user is allowed for this competition.
- The entrant who submits the best picture will be awarded with a VIP Olympic Package for two and a £500 Panasonic voucher to be spent on Lumix G kit of their choice (the voucher is valid for Lumix G accessories and lenses only). The voucher is redeemable at the winner’s local Panasonic Store, or online at the Panasonic eShop.

- The London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) gives no guarantee in relation to the London 2012 ticket prize, and cannot be held liable for any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from a winner’s (and, where applicable, the winner’s guest’s) use of the London 2012 ticket prize.
- To enter the draw for the Olympic Package for two, go to the following link: www.lumixlifestyle.co.uk/competition and follow the instructions. The VIP Olympic Package for two will include two tickets to two events of the Promoter’s choice on the same day at the London 2012 Olympic Games and accommodation for two (twin room) for the night of the event. For the avoidance of doubt, any costs of your potential trip to the venue and accommodation the night before the event are not covered by the Promoter, and must be covered by the competition winner.
- The winner’s entry and selected gallery shots will also be featured on the Promoter’s website as well as on the Lumix Lifestyle website.
- The winner will also receive an A3 canvas or framed boxed print of their winning entry, delivered to their home address.
- Second and third placed runners-up will receive a £100 Panasonic voucher to be spent on Lumix G kit of their choice (the voucher is valid for Lumix G accessories and lenses only). The vouchers are redeemable at the runners-up’s local Panasonic Stores, or online at the Panasonic eShop. An A3 canvas or framed boxed print of their photo will also be delivered to their home addresses.
- The picture should be submitted between 6th March 2012 and 31st May 2012, through the competition section of the Lumix Lifestyle website: www.lumixlifestyle.co.uk/competition
- Winners will be selected by a third-party chosen Panasonic agency, with an independent promotional verification service, from all valid entries received by 31st May 2012.
- Winners will be notified by phone or email using the information supplied at the time of entry, within seven days of the end of the competition.
- At no time should you endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or infringe any laws when taking pictures. In particular, do not provide us with images of any individual without obtaining their prior consent for us to publish and process their images.
- By participating in this promotion, you confirm that you have the ownership rights in the pictures and that you grant Panasonic a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish and otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media worldwide.
- Prizes are not transferable unless outlined in these Terms and Conditions of Promotion, and there are no cash alternatives available.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.
- Please allow up to 28 days for delivery of the prize. Prizes will be delivered to UK and ROI addresses only. Please note that the Olympic tickets will only be available for collection on the day of the event.
- The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of age and identity of winners.
- By entering the Promotion, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Promotion rules and Terms and Conditions. All entry instructions form part of these Promotion Terms and Conditions.
- Any breach of these Promotion Terms and Conditions may invalidate an entry and/or result in a forfeiture of the prize.
- Winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity arranged by the Promoter or its agencies.

- The Promoter and its agencies accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by an entrant as a result of entering this Promotion or accepting or not accepting any of the prizes.
